A Common Area for Science

Renovations in Welch Hall, the university’s largest academic building, are underway. This heart-of-campus hub for the Natural Sciences community will feature a new common space celebrating science. This gathering area is envisioned as a place that brings new visibility to the research and learning that happens throughout the college. Located off of the new Speedway pedestrian mall, the commons is just one part of a larger project to renovate Welch.
