The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is one of the most beautiful outdoor destinations in Texas, the state’s official botanic garden – and a prime spot for College of Natural Sciences research and education. It recently was designated a University of Texas field station, joining other biological and marine stations around Texas where scientists monitor conditions, conduct experiments and offer outreach to the community. With a focus on native plants and landscape restoration, and with offerings ranging from fire ecology to nature-based play, the Wildflower Center has been a source for biological exploration within The University of Texas at Austin for over 15 years.
