We humans have company when it comes to worrying about global pandemics. Frogs worldwide are dealing with a fast-spreading threat from a fungus that is both deadly and infectious. It also has several parallels to our own COVID-19. UT Austin scientist Kelly Zamudio has been studying the problem and is arriving closer to a solution that might save whole swaths of the world’s amphibians. On our UT science podcast “Point of Discovery,” she explains what the human and frog pandemics have in common, plus a strategy that might help to turn things around.
