Jobs involving science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) are growing at over twice the rate of other occupations. Unsurprisingly, demand is high these days for STEM-related programs for young learners, including programs led by UT Austin students, faculty and staff. A new hub from the university helps to connect children, families and schools to STEM resources, including many that are low-cost or even free. Find new on-site animal-themed outreach at the Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas, star parties at the McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, the annual Texas Science Festival online and much more. What’s available for children, teens and their families and teachers goes far beyond the Forty Acres of the main campus.
